Uraraka Calendar 2023

 Hello dear, how are you?  
Here is still warm and not feeling like we are near the end of the Year. But at night we already gather around the wood stove. Today we present our 2023 calendar with our very best wishes and illusion!
We are happy to continue with this ritual of offering the Calendar to welcome a New Year that reaches it's 9th edition. Our special thanks to all those who are waiting for it year after year. We hope you like the new calendar for 2023 as much as us and we wish the Calendar brings you positive energy, smiles and warmth in daily life.


🍁 2023 is the year of the Rabbit in Japan. The cover is inspired by the Socarrats (ancient Valencian ceramic tiles). We wish you a year full of moments that make you jump for joy, like a rabbit.

🍁 The cover is A5 size and the calendar measures 5.9x16.54in (15x42cm) when unfolded and hanging. It is stapled and has a hole for hanging.

🍁 Price is 17€, also there is available a Calendar + 4 postcards pack for 21€. Shipping not included. 

🍁 The illustrations are inspired by rural life in Catalonia, lovingly designed and handprinted by Yoko Kataoka. Wishing you enjoy the small seasonal joys that Nature gifts us.

🍁 Original illustrations are hand-printed on linen, using the traditional Okinawan technique called Bingata which uses only natural materials and hand tools. Calendar is printed on 100% recycled paper.

🍁 Conceived as an international calendar. It only has Sundays marked in red, it is ready for you to customize! Has little text, written in Catalan - Japanese - English - Spanish.

2023年 Uraurakaカレンダー

大変ご無沙汰しております、お元気でしょうか？こちらはまだあまり寒くなく、年末という気がしませんが夜は薪ストーブを囲んでいます。おかげ様でカレンダー制作、早９年目を迎えました。毎年楽しみにしていてくださる皆様に手を合わせて感謝申し上げます。カレンダー制作が、私達の一年を締めくくる大切な仕事となりました。皆様の楽しい心温まる冬支度のお役に立てることを願って♥佳き新年を迎えられるよう、そして前向きな気持ちで日々を過ごせる様に、真心こめて染めました。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします！
🍁 2023年は卯年、表紙はバレンシアの陶タイルSocarratsから想をえて、松竹梅を加え縁起佳く染めました。ウサギの様に軽やかに跳ねるほど嬉しい出来事に満ちた一年をお祈り申し上げます。
🍁 サイズは表紙がＡ５で真ん中綴じ。縦長デザインで開いて壁にかけると15㎝×42㎝。

Calendario Uraraka 2023

Hola, ¿cómo estás? Con estos días sin hacer frío y tan secos, no parece que ya estamos acercando al final del año... Esperamos que esteis todos bien. Hoy os presentamos nuestro Calendario 2023 como cada año, preparado con mucha ilusión y los mejores deseos! 
Llegamos a la novena edición del Calendario, muchas gracias por vuestro apoyo, especialmente a las personas que esta esperando año tras año. Estamos agradecidos de poder continuar este ritual, estrenar Calendario Uraraka con vosotros para recibir un Nuevo Año. 
Esperamos que te guste el nuevo calendario 2023 tanto como nosotros, y que te traiga un año positivo, lleno de sonrisas y ternura. ¡Que vaya bien la preparación invernal hacia Navidad y el Año Nuevo!


🍁 El 2022 es del año de Conejo en el Japón. La portada esta inspirada en los Socarrats, antigua cerámica Valenciana en forma de azulejos. Te deseamos un año lleno de momentos que te hagan saltar de alegría, como un conejo.

🍁 Las ilustraciones originales están estampadas a mano sobre lino, utilizando la tecnica de estampación tradicional japonesa (de Okinawa) llamada Bingata que utiliza solamente materiales naturales y herramientas manuales. El calendario esta imprimido en 100% papel reciclado.

Here the first cold wave has arrived and we are gathered around the wood stove with a cup of very thick chocolate :) Today we present our 2022 calendar that is ready to travel, thanks to your support!

We are excited to continue this ritual of sharing the Calendar with you to welcome soon a New Year. We hope you like the new calendar and you are enjoying your winter preparations!

🍁 2022 is the year of the Tiger in Japan. Tiger is the 3rd animal of the 12 Zodiac animals. It is said to be good year for plants to grow, both roots and branches. We have our "little tiger" Kôji featured in the cover. He has joined our family recently and is in full growth. 

🍁 The cover is A5 size and the calendar measures 15 x 42cm when unfolded and hanging. It is stapled and has a hole for hanging.

今年は去年より少し早くカレンダーのご案内です。大変ご無沙汰しております、お元気でしょうか？こちらは寒波が11月始めに到来し、急に冬らしい風景になりました。薪ストーブの前でホットチョコレートや熱いスープを楽しむ日々です。おかげ様でカレンダー制作、早8年目を迎えました。楽しみにしていてくださる皆様に感謝です。皆様の楽しい心温まる冬支度のお役に立てることを、心から願っております♥どうぞよろしくお願いいたします！


🍁 2022年は寅、表紙はこの春我家に迎え目まぐるしく成長している“仔虎”の麹です。虎は干支の中で3番目の動物、草木が根や枝を伸ばす成長の年と言われています。皆様にとって虎の様に恐れず力強く前に歩を進められる一年となります様に。

Calendario Uraraka 2022


 Hola, ¿cómo estás? 
Aquí ya ha llegado la primera ola de frío y estamos reunidos al alrededor de la estufa de leña con una taza de chocolate bien espeso :) Hoy te presentamos nuestro calendario 2022 que ya está listo para viajar, gracias al vuestro apoyo! 

Nos hace ilusión poder continuar este ritual compartiendo el Calendario con vosotros para recibir un Nuevo Año. Esperamos que te guste el nuevo calendario 2022 y que disfrutes de la preparación invernal!

🍁 El 2022 es del año de Tigre en el Japón. Tigre es el 3r animal de los 12 animales del Zodíaco. Dicen que es un año bueno para el crecimiento en las plantas, tanto los raíces como las ramas. He estampado nuestro "tigrecito" Kôji para portada que se ha unido a la familia y está en pleno crecimiento.

2021年のカレンダー

今年も師走に入り、刻々と日が短くなってきました。お元気でしょうか？おかげ様でカレンダー制作も7年目を迎え、しかしまたギリギリ申し訳ないです…年内に皆様のお手元へ届きます様、先行予約を本日より開始しました。印刷上がり次第順次発送いたします。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

2021年は丑年。牛は何千年も昔から人と共生し暮らしを助けてきた温厚な動物です。丑年は我慢強く力強く、ゆっくり新しいプロジェクトが芽吹き動き出す年と言われています。表紙は近所のオーガニック酪農家で暮らす幸せな牛をモデルにしました。


サイズは表紙がＡ５で真ん中綴じ、縦長のデザインで開いて壁にかける時は15㎝×42㎝となります。今回絵柄は奇数月が日本の伝統、偶数月がカタルーニャの伝統文化。どうぞ東と西の文化を各月楽しんでください。

Our 2021 Calendar

2021 is the Year of the Ox in Japan. An animal that has provided humans strength, food and materials for thousands of years. With good character and a symbol of loyalty and determination. During the Year of the Ox we need patience for projects to germinate but we can expect slow and steady improvements. This year's cover is inspired by the cows living happily in Can Garriga, an organic dairy farm close to home.

This year we returned to the traditional folded A5 design but this time in portrait format and we have added a brief explanation for each month. We will enjoy Eastern and Western traditions, in the odd months you will find Japanese traditions and in the odd Catalan traditions.


✯ Seasonal illustrations for each month, inspired by the traditions of Japan and Catalonia.
✯ We join the symbolism of the Japanese zodiac with it's traditions.
✯ It features 13 prints that Yoko has specially designed to tell you about a tradition or read you a poem every month.

✯ Made with love in our small workshop, hoping that it will accompany you in the Uraraka way, positive and cheerful feeling.

Nuestro calendario 2021


2021 es el Año del Buey en Japón. Un animal que nos ha proporcionado fuerza, alimento y materiales desde hace miles de años. Con buen carácter y símbolo de lealtad y determinación. En su año necesitamos paciencia para que los proyectos germinen pero podemos esperar mejorías lentas y constantes. La portada de este año está inspirada en las vacas que viven felices en Can Garriga, una granja de leche ecológica de cerca de casa. 

Este año volvemos al diseño tradicional A5 plegado pero esta vez en formato vertical y hemos añadido para cada mes una explicación breve. Disfrutaremos de tradiciones de Oriente y Occidente, en los meses impares encontrarás tradiciones japonesas y en los impares tradiciones catalanas.

      Just few weeks left to finish 2019 and finally our 2020 Calendar is available on the online store. Lately we had busy times and schedule is bit tight but you still have time to receive it before 2020 starts!

      Ya quedan pocos días para acabar el 2019 y esta vez la preparación del calendario 2020 entre trabajos y eventos se ha retrasado un poco...

      Ahora ya esta disponible en la tienda online un año más

      Este año hemos cambiado el diseño pero mantenemos la esencia.

          De golpe ha bajado la temperatura. Y con la estufa de leña está encendida casi todo el día me da la sensación de que este año se va terminando mientras estoy preparando el calendario 2020... aún no he terminado pero espero poder compartirlo muy pronto!

          Como estás? Comparto algunas noticias de este 2019 que va terminando,

          Taller de Estampación Japonesa 
          Horario: 10-14h i 16-19h en 1 día o 2 días
          Sábado 30/Nov - domingo 1/ Dec @ mi taller (Maià de Montcal, Girona)

          Será el último taller del año y lo haremos en un ambiente íntimo con taza de té caliente delante del fuego. Ideal si quieres preparar algún regalo especial hecho a mano por ti o alguna decoración de navidades para casa. Trabajamos en un grupo pequeño, con proyectos personalizados de cada persona.
          Apto para todos los niveles. *Hay opción de hacer 1 día o 2 días.

          Nos hace ilusión ofrecer talleres de estampado japonés en la zona Atelier.  Por primera vez hemos preparado un taller de iniciación a Bingata apto para niños y adultos. También ofrecemos taller de Esténcil y Yuna, que viene de Barcelona, hará taller de teñir Furoshiki con la técnica Shibori!

          私は今年を振り返ると色々激動の、新しいことにチャレンジ出来た濃い一年であったと共に、肩をこわして生活習慣を見直したり健康の大切さと、いろんな方達のサポートに改めて厚く感謝する一年でした。今年はいつになく遅くまだ来年のカレンダーを制作中…オンラインショップも早くリフレッシュして新作と共にご案内出来る様頑張ります。

          年内の予定を上に記載しました。お近くの方はぜひお会い出来たら嬉しいです。
          寒い季節どうぞ暖かく風邪を引かない様に、くれぐれも体調に気を付けてくださいね。
